The Ciguë operates with two distinct models: owned buildings and rental buildings.

The owned buildings belong to the Ciguë. The layouts have been designed to accommodate shared housing in the best possible way. In total, the Ciguë owns 7 buildings (either entirely or in co-ownership with other cooperatives).

The rental buildings do not belong to the Ciguë, but to a third party (the State or the City of Geneva, CPEG, private owners). These buildings or houses are rented by the Ciguë, often before they are planned for demolition in the coming years. The number of these rental units is much more variable, but they represent an important part of the Ciguë’s rental housing stock.”
